Managing shop chain Iki company Palink is planning to open logistic center in Latvia. Director of the company Robert Ziminsky informed portal BNS about it.
As the businessman explained, the main cause of making such center is the difference in taxes, but not deliveries’ distances. Mr. Ziminsky noticed, that the company doesn’t have any problem with delivery of goods to Latvia or Lithuania. Sometimes the distance between Latvian cities are much bigger than between Riga and Panevezys. “Difference in taxes means alcohol, tobacco and other excised goods”, - explained the company director.
There are 51 shops Iki in Latvia. The owner of the Latvian company Palink is Lithuanian cognominal company, which belongs to European Coopernic.
